Rustboy interviewRustboy was a film I paid close attention to after looking at the same 3D world magazine in the interview above (click on the highlighted text) It went limp in 2006 for all the reasons listed in the interview and they were good ones at that, except for one response which was his idea never to tackle a short film by himself, that is only true in his case because of the software he used at the time and believe he would have kept on using till its end just to keep the same aesthetic and to avoid the technical of moving to a package like Maya,Max, etc that would have empowered him to do it himself due to most of the task's being automated to a point...
I continue on my short film having the edit done now, its down to tweaking a little bit of timing and some of the camera angles to get a more dramatic effect and better story flow. I am having more fun with it now, just need to use smaller chunks of time and kill a few ideas in my head so the new ones being born get a better chance to take shape and move forward more importantly, trial an error is part of the process, the end result of course will be very different from what I have now. but now I really am enjoying the process and care less about the idea of preserving what I originally had at the cost of making something much better.
