Hanoi and Surrounds Visa and 'Keen Tourism'

Hanoi its a busy ass city lots of stuff going on, its got lots of bikes like Taiwan but no road rules watching it in action has its own sort of charm much like the way the place works in general "no rules but seems to function OK"

Well I arrived and tried the local cuisine not far from my Guest house in case I had to make the dash back, had a Hanoi beer with some chicken soup thing that was very tasty :P, good news is no reation so that was good however this morning I had breakfast at a local house and did have a reaction. local cuisine score 50/50 "so far"

Today I had one good cab driver and one bad one, and by that the first cabby took me straight to my location, on the way back the second cabby took me all over the place adding about $2 Aussie dollars to the trip, I don't care about that extra money but I do care about sitting in traffic for another 15 minutes knowing that the guy is milking me, I just want to get from A to B so next time I will pre arrange the fair i.e. "see this on map, take me here I give you blah blah blah OK?".

Now as for the sight seeing I will be booking the Ha-long trip today, I have spoken to a few travel agents and other travelers who gave some good advice about what I should pay for what I get so I'll spend the rest of my day organizing my Hanoi get away, and a bit more sight seeing, last night I had a few beers and some cocktails in a local cafe watching Hanoi go by and bumped into some travelers at the guest house and talked about the Ha-long bay trip they just got back from. feeling a bit dry today so i might just stick to the beers tonight and avoid the cocktails, try some dog meat and maybe a few snails! :P

I have the 'tentaculon' (as Ben coined it) in place, I have rigged it and made it looked slightly clenched as if about to strike, I will have 'spittle' to add to the tentaculon and a few other highlights as well

On another note I will be in Vietnam on Wednesday of this week, I slept in and missed the flight on Saturday however due to my flight policy I can change the flight and take it at my own leisure, Nice.
Its not expensive to fly around south east Asia from Taiwan, its actually quite cheap if you look for the right deal, and by that if you can read or speak Chinese it helps because the English site's jack the price up in most cases by double the price! :O

Updates October

Off to Vietnam at the end of this week, all is good here but the weather, things otherwise are progressing along nicely, here is an updated tentacle, its very scary looking or might be the other way around depends on your preference ;)

Taiwan and Beyond and finnishing off were I began

Well the past week has been eventful and I'm coming down off a natural high from finishing my course going to Hong Kong and now planning for my trip and or a potential job depending on a few circumstances, either way I will soon realize I have less time than I think I have to take to reflect on the coming events and the list grows longer.

Today I did revisit my first piece on this blog, it was a bit of retraining from the way things used to be done in the past but now I am getting the hang of things again. I have marked in red the changes as I was not happy with the initial layout of this piece I wanted to fill the whole space but now I think I will highlight the middle and fade off into darkness, so I will tilt the camera up redo the pathetic tentacle into a menacing one and move the crowbar under her hand so it fits in frame because I think I want the tentacle more above her head, and my intention is to still do a 360 render of this thing seeing as I designed it that way I may as well see it to the end.
